As one of my monthly goals is to meditate every day I have signed up for a free meditation challenge with Oprah and Deepak. This 21-day challenge focuses on manifestations of success. Feel free to follow along, try it yourself and/or comment below.
Timing For Success
Q1) Take one of your worthy goals and set a time frame for attaining a major step toward that goal. For example, with the goal of having more friends, you might give yourself a month to make three new acquaintances. Write down your goal, your next step, and the time frame to get there.
My goal is to live more in the present and less in the past. My next step is to start tracking my moods and finding what triggers me to leave the present for the past or the future. I am giving myself 1 month to find my triggers and another month to try to change my thinking so I can focus on the now.
Q2) List all the different activities that apportion your work: work time, play time, quite time, social time, down time, physical time, and sleep time. Next to each area, write down how much time you give yourself for that activity each day.
Work Time: 8 hours a day
Play Time: 30 minutes a day
Quiet Time: 30 minutes a day
Social Time: 30 minutes a day
Down Time: 2 hours a day
Physical Time: 1 hour a day
Sleep Time: 4-6 hours a day
Q3) Write down next to each activity how that period of time nurtures you, and how it enriches the quality of your day rather than detracts from it.
I actually don’t have any extra to reflect upon. I feel like I got it all out with the previous questions.
