One of my goals for February was to listen to more music. Since this was one of the goals I accomplished, I’m here to share with you what I’ve been listening too.
Music I’ve bought
The only music I bought this month was the Guardians of the Galaxy Deluxe Soundtrack. I paid $16.99 at Target, and I think that if you are into movie scores, it is well worth it. And if you aren’t it may be worth it just for the song titles like Everyone’s an Idiot and What a Bunch of A-Holes. If that doesn’t pull you in then buying just the soundtrack for $9.99 may be more your taste. I enjoyed all the old hits and reminded me of listening to music with my Dad.
Spotify and Pandora Listening
This month I’ve mostly stuck with Spotify because I have wanted to hear more specific songs instead of just random songs. I’ve mostly listened to the Happy Day playlist that I created to make me feel better when I was down. There are such songs as Punching In A Dream by The Naked and Famous; Your Body Is A Weapon by The Wombats and Ways To Go by Grouplove along with other bands and people like Carly Simon, Cake, They Might Be Giants and OutKast. What can I say, I love all kinds of music and staying in one genre has never been my thing.
Repeat Song of the Month
The one song I have listened to on repeat all month has been Oiki’s Groove. If you like EDM or dubstep, you will love this song. It has a great beat and a hard drop. I couldn’t get enough of it and the way it made me feel pumped for whatever I had to do. I recommend listening to it in the car on the way to work, LOUDLY. Nothing will get you in the mood to kick some ass like this song.
