Music I Bought
For April I got 2 new CD’s, Flume and Jhene Aiko’s Sail Out. I loved Flume’s self-named album. I have his songs incorporated into many of my playlists on Spotify so he’s album was a sure thing for me. Sail Out is something I saw in Target and I had liked 1 of her songs enough to put it on a playlist of mine so I thought there was a chance I would like more songs from her. I was wrong. I know that heartbreak and pain can breed a whole lot of inspiration (check out this blog for one) but damn girl you have issues. Every song seems to be about her clearly codependent relationship with some guy who may be cheating on her but she may be the other woman and doesn’t care??? Not so sure what is going on but the girl needs to do what I did, get a therapist and start writing about other things than you going crazy over a dude!
Spotify and Pandora Listening
I haven’t really been doing much in the way of Spotify or Pandora listening this month. I listened to some of my Be Happy playlist the I created on Spotify but other than that, not much. Since getting my new iPhone I have mostly been listening to my Top 25 playlist off my old iTunes account which mostly consists of Skrillex (don’t judge me), Blackmill, Florence & The Machine and Nero.
Repeat Song of the Month
Your Body Is A Weapon by The Wombats. I love, love, love this song. It’s upbeat. It’s about a guy pining for a woman. It makes me wish a guy would write a song about me like this. Needless to say, perfection! It is so catchy that as soon as it starts you can’t help but start bob your head to the beat and sing along. Go check it out if you haven’t hurt it because it’s pretty amazing.
